Catalog Insights
Catalog Insights: Overview
What is it?
Catalog Insights is a panel in Elastic Suite that shows your Elastic ordering history and what’s popular across the catalog you’re shopping, so you can make faster, better-informed buying decisions. It’s a reference tool only. It won’t change your cart, limit what you can order, or validate quantities.
What you’ll see
Your history in this catalog
- A summary of the orders, products, and units you’ve placed in the last 12 months.
- Incoming orders: how many orders and units you already have on the way, and their ship date(s). These are submitted orders with a ship date of today or later.
- Your Most Reordered Products: the 5 products you’ve ordered most often in the past year. Each shows the variations you bought and the date you last ordered it.
What’s happening across the catalog
- Most Purchased Products Overall: the top 5 products by units ordered by all accounts in the last 30 days.
- Trending This Week: the top 5 product-and-color combinations growing fastest, comparing the last 7 days to the 7 days before. Ranking is by percentage growth, so a smaller product can trend if its orders are rising quickly.
How to open it
- Go to Elastic Suite and start an order.
- Find the Catalog Insights button.
- View Catalog: next to the sort control.
- Enter Quantities: next to the view switch (By Shipment or All Products).
- Quick Order: on the main shopping page, alongside Ship Date, sort, and Results.
- Click Catalog Insights and the panel opens on the right.
- Review your history and the catalog-wide activity.
- Click any product name to go to its product details page.
- Close the panel with the X at any time.
Good to know
- Works while you shop: the catalog stays visible and interactive beside the panel, so you can keep scrolling and entering quantities.
- Catalog-specific: the insights reflect the catalog you’re viewing, not your whole account.
- Remembers your choice: if you leave it open or closed, it stays that way as you move around.
- Devices: available on desktop and tablet, not on mobile.
- Button missing? Your company may not have the feature turned on. Contact your administrator or support team.
Common questions
Why is “Your Most Reordered Products” empty?
You haven’t ordered from this catalog in the last 12 months. The other sections still show activity from all accounts.
Why do Incoming Orders show zero and the ship date show a dash?
You have no submitted orders in this catalog with a ship date of today or later.
Why do the top-purchased and trending sections show a “check back” message?
There isn’t enough order activity yet. These sections fill in as the season gets going and week-over-week data builds.
Why don’t I see the same results as a coworker?
Your history is specific to your customer account, and the catalog-wide sections vary by catalog and time window.
